Nepal is a delight for food lovers :

Steaming hot momos, spicy newari food, finger licking thakali food....there is something for everyone. The food of Nepal is as diverse as the country itself.

Nepal is similar to many countries within South Asia, as it successfully combines a range of characteristics from its neighbouring countries with its own gastronomic history, resulting in foods that are rich with flavour and culture. Recipes from Nepalese cuisine can be relatively simple and the flavours subtle, but the results are far from bland. Daal bhat tarkari is the daily meal eaten by all the Nepalese throughout the country. Daal is a soup made of lentils and spices which is served with the boiled grains known as Bhat. Tarkari is curry-a mash up of different vegetables flavored with spices and curry powder. It is the main staple diet of most Nepali people. Momo is very popular in almost every corner of Nepal. Momo is a must-try food in Nepal. It is made of flour stuffed with mince meat.
